playing with dramatic elements

2 versions of the experiment for this post, you need only answer one of them:

1) Pick a traditional 52-card deck game (pusoy dos, tong-its, etc) or a traditional playground game.  Add a theme to it (backstory, premise, characters, etc). Discuss any rules changes, appearance changes, added pieces and props, etc. that will help the new game fit the theme. (examples: can Pusoy Dos be a game involving valiant knights and princesses fighting dragons and gods? can Gin Rummy be about the struggles of a SoMA student as he searches for the meaning of life? can Langit-Lupa be about Indiana Jones?)

2) Pick a movie or a book or a music track or a theatre play. How would you retell that work as a game? Focus your discussion on the formal game elements that you would use to demonstrate elements of the work (sequence and mood of events, characters and characterization, that spoilerrific death scene at the end, etc). If it's already been done before, discuss the resulting game as well, focusing on whether or not it properly captures (or even says something new about) what the original work was about. (ex: Romeo and Juliet as a dating game or an assassin's creed-style sneak fest? Frozen as a final fantasy-style RPG or a first-person shooter? Harlem Shake as an MMORPG or a realtime strategy game?)

Post your experiment in the comments!

  1. The year is 2020 when humans have discovered a cure for all kinds of diseases, a single cure than can relieve everyone of their diseases! this "cure-for-everything" cure then has been distributed to the world's famous hospitals and then to small clinics, everyone was enjoying the cure and it's another step to a better world! but it turns out that the cure mutates, it makes everyone faster, light and attentive! aside from those positive side effects it has terrible ones that the world is seeing right before their eyes, these people become aggressive, they are easily agitated and will actually attack anything that's near them, people who did not take the cure are now scared and proceed to run away from them after the people who took the cure are chasing them, those people who are caught are now infected but once the infected ones catch someone, even if they just touch another person who did not take the cure, their cure or rather the effects of the cure can be transferred to the other person, a chance to be cured of the cure but it has to be transferred to someone. This has destroyed countries and everything is in ruin, no one can ever see the light of day and all that because of a single cure.

a fate worse than death is to be "tagged"

( this activity is truly an inspiration from the movie "battleship yes? I wonder how they cooked up a story out of that board game lol

    Also CONGRATULATIONS!!! x10)

  2. Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

It can be made into a 2-player coop vs the system, where the players could play as Obi-Wan or Qui-gon, to stop the droids or the Evil Trade Federation lead by Darth Sidious and Darth Maul while protecting Princess(or Queen) Amidala.
Of course the players will use lightsabers to fight droids, and they will have health bars, and if their health reaches zero it's game over, they will have special powers(or the force) that they can use to help win the game but there will be some sort of "Force bar" to limit how many times they can use the force.

There was a game before based on this, which was "Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles" which was a "beat-em up" game on the Playstation One. Story based, it has no impact on the player for it is not clearly shown because the game is on a "Mission mode" basis, where the players will just be put on a stage/level then you just do the objective, then you can move on to the next level, however it's sounds, it's stage design really makes you feel like you're in the world of Star Wars, and you can not just play as Obi-wan or Qui-gon, you can play as 6 more characters each with their own... special bomb or heavy artillery.

  3. Dramatic Elements

    Experimentation # 1

Tag. It’s a traditional game adapted by kids from generations to generations and from time to time children may have added something in the game to make it more exciting to play with.

For my experimentation, I would like to add some adventure in the game. My theme would be like the movie and the classic story of Alice and Wonderland. In my game, you need to have enough players (4-6 players will do but more players will be far more perfect for the game). In order to pick the “it”, players should count from 1 to 25 (for no reason) and the player who corresponds with the number 25 would be the “it”.

The game has it’s home base. The base is the mind control of the game. Any bulging surface will do for a base.

The game also has boundaries in order for the players to not get lost or it will not be fair for the “queen” (reason, keep reading)

It may be strange to add some time limit in the game but admit it, it makes the game more exhilarating. The time limit will depend on the majority’s decision but it will be not less than a minute. It would be too hard for the queen to find her followers/ servants.

The “it” would be called the Queen. Meanwhile on the other side, the remaining players will decide if who will be “Alice”

Now, the queen caught all of her servants except Alice. So, it is time for Alice to take action. She had to touch the base before she got caught by the queen so that the servants/followers will be free. If Alice got there before she got caught, then Alice wins together with the servants but when she got caught before reaching the home base, it will be game over.

  4. Pixar vs. Dreamworks

It is like Marvel vs. Capcom, though I haven't played it. The characters of Pixar Movies will battle the characters in DreamWorks’s movies.
    Players: One on one battle
Goals: Knockdown your opponent. It is kind of exciting because the characters have different kind of skills like Po in Kung Fu Panda, he will do Kung Fu and if he’s opponent is Eve from Wall-E she will shoot him with her Gun.
Procedures: Fight, use combo techniques and such.
    Rules:
Objectives – This game is good for PSP console.
Restriction – Cannot quit in the middle of a battle or change character. You can’t use the special attack bar until it is fully loaded. Moreover, let’s add a shield bar, to shield you from the opponent’s powerful attacks. Unlike the special attack bar, the shield bar is smaller or shorter and a little faster to regenerate. To add another more fun, if you want to use the shield so badly then you can load its bar instantly by sacrificing the loads in the special attack bar. Like if the shield is half full and the special attack is also half full, if you click a certain button for the shield, then the attack will become empty and its half will transfer to the shield. Take note that you cannot sacrifice the shield for attack.
Effects – You can counter the attacks to cancel it or return it to your opponent and hurt himself instead.
Resources: Counter Attacks, special attack bar.
Outcome: If the opponent is KO then you win.
Conflict: Use the shield bar and sacrifice the special attack or wait for the special attack to be fully loaded?

    HW - Dramatic Elements
    1-24-14

I would have to proceed with experiment # 2 being the movie compromise.

For this segment, my film of choice would have to be:

    "Moonwalker" (1988, Michael Jackson)

    - The film is basically a large music video directed by Michael Jackson show casing a few of his greatest hit songs from the 1970's to the 1980's through the multimedia art of filming. The film starts with a humanitarian health campaign, moving on to the beginning and expansion of Michael's career, right down to a special story plot involving the press chasing Michael, right down to the final and most story educed portion of the film being the saving of his friends from a sinister drug lord.

Now, in 1989, a year after the films release, the producers and production release "Moonwalker" the game. It followed much like in the foot steps of "Mario" and other games of the are having been a 2D pixeled game with the objective of fighting enemy bots while locating all kidnapped friends. The game mechanic revolves around Michael defending his way through dancing.

With that said, My intentions for rewriting "Moonwalker" would be to turn it into a first-person shooter game in similarities to "Grand Theft Auto" & "Call of Duty"

Rather from the 2D pixel game, this will have better 3D environmental graphics in the same style as "GTA". I would also based the games beginning at the scene of "Smooth Criminal" (being the club 30's bar) with the same introduction as seen in the original music videos (adding possible elements of cut scenes). I'd also keep the instrumentals of specified songs in place to make sure that the player knows precisely what he/ she is playing. In addition, weapons & supplies (depending on the advancement/ or progress of the player through the game) would be available as oppose to the original game which had none.

Mechanics wise, it would remain the same - save kidnapped friends and advance to the next point of the game.

    - So, the story would go, Michael's friends where involved in witnessing an illegal drug traffic a few months earlier, in turn, left them hiding across different part of the city of Chicago (1950's). The drug lords set the word to eliminated these witnesses including Michael. Unfortunately, they can get to Michael so they kidnap his friends to lure him into his death. Since in the film, Michael has supernatural abilities, the same would apply to the game only on special needs. The quest begins at the local Jazz club (Club 30's) which ends him out towards the alps of the city where he encounters tug henchmen, moving closer to the forest where he enters zombie territory and finally the last few levels ends Michael fighting his way into the drug facility where his friends are being held.
He finally bosses up and defeats the boss foe and saves his friends.

    End of game.

I believe with these new advancements to the game, it would surely not only improve the reputation of Michael Jackson, but also entice first-person shooter & M.J fans to play more. In terms of Formal elements, It could be reflected to both single and multiplavers (as mentioned, in same mechanics as GTA & Counter Strike)

What would make a game like this click is it's cultural thread, it's association with guns-blazing. Players now a days enjoy firing a weapon while another fires back. Games like GTA give you control while taking it's tole on you. It has all the elements of Fun and dramatic sense because it provides both thrill, anticipation and humor towards the quest to complete the game.

  6. Experiment #2

For this experiment i would choose the movie cloverfield which is a movie back in 2008. This movie is about an alien takeover on New York City and has 2 main characters.

I would like to make it as a game because the story is interesting and I would want to add more to the hanging story of what happened after the total destruction of New York.

The game would be single player because it is story-based and the players have to journey through the game finding lost friends and relatives and search for ways to escape the "to be annihilated" New York city.

The game would feature 2 main characters and has other characters that can be unlocked. The main aim of this game is to escape New York city before the order to
annihilate every existing being inside it. The procedures would be to find missing relatives and to find safe pathways to escape New York. there will be no map only clues and hints on where to go. I believe this would make the game a bit more realistic and build up hype. There will be objects that can be thrown or used to kill or get past impending dangers.

The restrictions would be the playing map. The map would be massive because the whole environment of New York City will be used. Weapons are only the ones left by the army except the humvees. I believe this would make the game challenging.

The effects are the environment changing because of the forces being applied by the aliens. the resources are ammo, grenades, and other artillery needed. And the outcome will be decided by how the player played through the game. if the player skipped some side stories or side missions, that would be a factor to change the outcome.

overall it's not like the actual film, the changes are not too harsh though. And i believe this would make the game more thrilling and exciting unlike the film wherein they didn't use anything to protect themselves.

  7. Game: Tagu-taguan/Hide and seek

Experimentation: I would mix this traditional game with the game Assassin’s Creed.

Players: the maximum number of players would be 10, so that it wouldn’t be that difficult to play

Rule changes: Before the start of the game, players must draw lots. Out of the ten pieces of paper one will be marked with a cross and that would determine the “Assassin” or the “It”. Now here’s the catch no one must reveal what they got from the draw and then proceed to count 1 to 30 before hiding. The “Assassin” or the “It” must conceal his/her identity and find all of the players and tag them before the players realize that the he/she is the assassin, if a player avoids being tag by the assassin and discovers that he/she is the IT the player must yell “ASSASSIN!!” to alert the other players and the IT would lose.

Resources: any place that a person can hide in (EX: playground, park, etc.). A base, this is where the tagged players will stay once they are caught by the
    IT/Assassin.

Boundaries: the players are only limited to designated play area (the park or etc.)

Conflict: the IT/Assassin's Identity must not be discovered while blending in with the other players.

  8. Experiment # 2

For this experiment, my pick would be the movie Warm Bodies, an American paranormal romantic zombie film based on a novel of the same name. It's story focuses on the development of the relationship between a young woman and a zombie (Julie and R).

I would like to make this as a game because of its unique story and I know that this will make great sales for it has already build a huge following since it was first created as a novel.

PLAYERS: Single player (Player vs System)
The player would be R, the main character.

OBJECTIVE: To win this game, you must make sure that you and Julie would be safe and survive the zombie apocalypse together.

PROCEDURE: It would be just like the game version of Walking Dead wherein there are different tasks or missions that the player must accomplish and with that, a map will be provided to guide you. Of course, in every mission, there would be
tough challenges (like a huge wave of zombies chasing you and Julie, etc.) that you will encounter to make the game more fun and enjoying.

    RULES

RESTRICTION: Once the player is in a battle, the player can't quit or you will lose points. When a mission was accomplished in just one try, a reward would be given to the player .

    RESOURCES:
There would be a limited amount of food (for Julie), power-ups, ammos and dried blood in each area or level to make it more challenging.

    OUTCOME:
Once you've finished all the missions and survived together with Julie, you'll win the game.

    CONFLICT:
Just like in the movie, the player must wipe dried blood into Julie's face to disguise her as a zombie and to avoid huge pack of zombies following her.

  9. Experiment 2

I would like to do an experiment for the movie "28 Days Later". The game would be a fast paced action survival game. It will be a linear game following the story of the film.

    Player: Single player

Objective: Outrun the zombies and make it to your objective(safe house).

Procedure: It would be a combination of the games of Mirror's edge and Left for dead. The game would feature the free running concept of Mirror's edge since in the movie the zombies are more aggressive so you have to run as fast as you can. You can still pick weapons and ammo but they are very scarce. You can also kick or use melee to kill the zombies in your way. Points would be awarded for every zombies killed. Once you arrived to your safe house you can use your points to buy weapons, upgrade clothing for better speed or train your endurance for longer running.

Rules: You can go through obstacles so the zombies won't catch you. Can also climb through building as long as the is a way to climb up to. Just like in the movie making too much noise would attract the zombies so be weary of your surroundings. Zombies can also get distracted to noise so use it whether you have a chance. You can only die when you fell off a high platform or bitten by a zombie.

Resources: Resources are weapons, ammo and adrenaline shots. You can either pick them up or buy them. Stamina is also a resource so train your endurance and agility.

Conflict: The zombies and the Npc's who are there to kill you like in the movie.

Outcome. The game will be over once you finished the story.

  10. I’ll take experiment 2

I would take the movie “How to Train your Dragon” and make it into a multiplayer game

This movie has a lot of interesting characters and it has all the makings of a great video game.

PLAYERS: Multiplayer (player team vs player team)

OBJECTIVE: The game will have different game modes depending on what the players choose.
Protect the Egg: An egg will be placed at the center of the map and the teams must take the egg and protect it from the other team. The team who holds the egg when the time runs out wins.
Death Match: Defeat all the opposing team’s member to win the match
Capture the Nest: Capture the enemy’s base to win the game.

PROCEDURE: Players will an avatar and a dragon to ride. Each dragon has its own skill set. Defeat the opposing team to win

RULES: Defeat the enemies and gain as much kills as you can. Every kill is equivalent to an exp point which can be used to buy upgrades for your dragon.

    RESTRICTION: Boundaries of the map

    RESOURCES:
    Exp points and dragon upgrades.

    OUTCOME:
The winning team gets an upgrade and new avatar choices

    CONFLICT:
    The opposing team

  11. Experiment #2

From this experiment, I pick Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children (A novel). In this story,it's about a guy name Jacob Portman who went to Wales to find out the strange children that was told by his gradfather. When Jacob was little, his grandfather told him about what he experienced in the Wales with an orphan children with supernatural abilities like super strengh, invisibility, floating from the sky,and others.

When Jacob grew up in the age of fifteen, his grandfather called him that he was about to attack him by the monsters called "Hollowgast". Jacob came to his grandfather's house,he came inside and saw his grandfather choking a tentacles in his mouth and vomits blood and died. Jacob was schocked of what he witnessed on his grandfather. Jacob approached to his grandfather and his grandfather told him he must go to the island,Wale, to make him safe.

After his Grandfather died, Jacob suffers a nightmare every night. A month later, Jacob decided to go to Wale with father to make his problem to be solved.

On this game of what am I gonna experiment, I'm going to make this a one player or a multiplayer game but from the beggining of the game I'm going to make the game into one player first. My character would be Jacob and his mission will explore all the places in the island and to find a hotel.

After you finish the first mission, you will go to the abandoned house of which the peculiar children used to live in the 1940s. You will go there inside and go to the master's bedroom to find the old pictures and after you get the old old pictures, someone will come inside the house and all you going to do is go to the basement ( but make sure that you know how to hide but if you've caught by someone, you will die automatically) and hide.

After you finish the mission on exploring inside the house, you can able to make your game multiplayer. On the multiplayer game, you can now use each peculiar children like Emma,Millard,Horace and other peculiar children to smash/kill monsters but you have to unlock them before you use it and you can use them when they are on their other first mission. If you unlocked them all, you can enjoy to use them by choosing it randomly for the other missions

    Players:
    -Single player and a multiplayer
-You can use 2-4 players (team players) only if you want to make it a multiplayer.

    Objective:
    -To protect the peculiar children

    Rules:
-Only can Jacob see monsters so if you want to make it a multiplayer make sure that one of your player will use Jacob.
-You can't hit on your team
-There is no 2 vs 2 team in the game, you can only team up as a party
-You can able to hide by rocks, couches, grass, trees and bushes
-Jacob can only be the one who can pick weapons
-If you're using Jacob holding a weapon, you can only hit your enemies 10 times if he's in mellee attack or if he is holding a gun there are 10/30 bullets in there.
-The only gun will Jacob use a handgun revolver

    Recources:
-Just like in Diablo 3, you can level up and upgrade your abilities but not your weapon.
-You can use the lantern as a healing object
-When you see a bonfire, you can able to upgrade your abilities
-When you see an old typewriter or a laptop you can able to save the game

    Conflict:
    -The monsters (AKA the Hollowgast)

    Outcome:
-The game will be over once you finished the story.
-If you've been caught in the hiding game, the game will end automatically and back to the checkpoint

  12. I’d go with experiment #2 and make a game adaptation of “GODZILLA: THE FINAL WARS”. I would make it into a fighting game with up to 4 players. Imagine “Super Smash Bros.” and upscale it to about a 100 times in a 3D environment with lots of monsters, buildings to destroy, fire, stuff to make explode, and more fire then you would get a picture of what I’m talking about.

This would be a Super Godzilla smash everything in sight, smash the other monster opponents, blow everything kind of thing. Monsters from previous Godzilla movies have returned which spans 15 characters, other monsters not from the movie are also be included as unlockables.

PLAYERS: 1 (Single Player mode), 2 (One on One mode) or 4 players (Team vs Team)

OBJECTIVE: You need to beat the two opponent players to win either by: reducing their life to zero, or by way of a time-over win (the team that has the higher life value wins).

PROCEDURE: The two teams pick their characters from the character select screen, choose a special skill as a super (Ex: Super fire breath, Deafening roar, Earth stomp) like in Street Fighter. Each monster has its own specialty. The 4 players battle at the same time. The D-pad enables you to maneuver the monster (Up- forward, Down-backward, left and right-sidewards). The main buttons (x, box, circle, triangle, L1 , L2, R1, R2 for PS3; a, b, x, y, left and right triggers for XBOX 360) serve as the attack buttons. The analog stick can be used for certain character specific moves like flight and teleportation. This game be can play online as well.

RULES: In a team, choosing the same monster is not allowed. The time limit is set to 99 as default or it can be set to infinity. No damage inflicted on your partner. Pitfalls deal you damage.

    BOUNDARIES: The chosen map.

RESOURCES: Buildings, mountains, or the objects in the map that can be destroyed gives off “Spirit Power” which helps in building up your “Spirit Meter” that enables the player to launch their chosen special skill or super attack. This can be related to the candles that you whip in Castlevania that gives you hearts as ammunition. You can also gain “Spirit Power” by landing attacks on the opponents.

OUTCOME: Zero-sum game. One team wins, another team loses. In some rare instances "draws" can be an outcome due to a time over when the two opposing players or teams have the same life value; when that happens, the match restarts and no one wins the match. Winning online gives you experience points. Gain more experience points and get higher ranks to show the community who’s boss.

CONFLICT: The opponents are the primary conflict. Obstactles that cannot be destroyed also serve as a conflict for it can block your path. Pitfalls also serve as conflicts for there are a lot from this game.

  13. Experiment #2

I'll take the movie "Fight Club" and make it a single player game.

This has been made a video game before by VU Games, but they focused on making it a fighting game which had bad animation and plain, repetitive gameplay that it just sucked. With other fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter, the characters had their own unique abilities /moves, but if you've seen Fight Club, it's just a bunch of regular guys fighting in a basement in only their pants. So with a PS2 and boring old visuals, that definitely makes for a bad game.

I'd like for it to be an interactive action adventure similar to "Fahrenheit" and "Heavy Rain". In contrast to what VU Games did, I would focus more on the muddled life of the protagonist in the film. The objective here is to choose from various interactions that are presented to the player as the game progresses. That would be the primary in the game: interactions of the player with other characters and objects. It will be a linear, story-based gameplay, but you would have the ability to switch it up if you choose a different interaction. It would be as if you changed certain elements in the film's plot. What if the protagonist hung up the phone when Marla Singer called? Then the player wouldn't have to talk to Marla later on in the game.

With restrictions, you can talk to CERTAIN people and interact with objects in the game. And though it might seem as a sandbox with its setting, you cannot freely roam around in the game as it's heavily story-driven.

It's a non-zero sum game. Once you finish it, there's are several endings that you can get based on the choices that you've made. Often times, the player is faced with dilemmas. All of those choices have their advantages and disadvantages. Realistically, one may benefit you or it could cause a great screw-up.

I want to showcase the thrill that this movie has and let players be in the protagonist's shoes. What is it like to be a white-collar job hating, underground fighting, shit shack living insomniac in the 90's? Certainly a big step and improvement from its 2004 game version. This isn't The Fighter, it could actually be an actual Quantic Dream game.

  14. Experiment #2
    Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

Percy, in the course of bringing a completion to his destiny, met many obstacles along the way with his team to save and revive their camp. The story doesn't resort the title of itself. It didn't fall back on the viewers' assumptions that it's full of sea monsters. Only one big creature made its splash on screen.

Speaking of which, I'll then make a game with the same number of the main characters. Percy and the four of his friends. Five players, five opponents, of course. Percy's team and Luke's. A field game with a bit of misrepresentation of the said story. Having the custom of constructing something under time pressure sticks a thrill on it. There will be usage of cloth(fabric) which has the capable of healing a person and revive him as well. The objects used in a traditional field obstacle course will also be used accordingly -could be car wheel, blocks of wood, and metal sticks for building creatures and weapons.

Two ifs. The goal of Percy's group is to revive Thalia while Luke's team is to destroy the camp. This game shall proceed with the game facilitator's sign. It'll start with the all the players finding the magical cloth. The first set up (in the field) will be like treasure hunting -more of exciting hints, as well as obstacles like getting rid of Cyclops and escaping from big monster sea creature just to get the magical cloth. First team who'll catch sight of it doesn't mean the game is over. It will tell them what game shall they strike. If Luke's team got it first, both teams have to construct their weapons quick. Aligned equally, Percy's team has to build Poseidon using the said materials while Luke's team has to build the ancient creature. Because obviously, Luke has the magical cloth to be able to revive someone. If Percy's team ran out of time to construct before the ancient creature lives, Luke's team has the right to destroy the camp(Team Percy's base). Still, Percy's team has a chance to stop them as long as they build Poseidon. Each members can destroy the opponents' weapon by hitting it. Only when it's fully built. Some members of Luke's team can run to Percy's base to destroy the camp but as long as Poseidon is fully built, he has to stop at the nearest or farthest point he has reached. If at least one of Luke's team member has reached the base, their team wins. On the other hand, Percy's team members has also their way to get the weapon that will permanently destroy the ancient creature. Same measure of the length the construction area of Percy's camp to the instruments(weapon) area. Just like Luke's team's goal, they have to run for that weapon only when the ancient creature is destroyed. If they've got it before their camp was destroyed, Percy's team wins -having the capability of restoring Thalia to live.

Enjoy the games' adventure when team Luke first find the magical cloth for the enemy basically gives the antagonist of the story. If Percy's team finds the magical cloth first, game is over. Just like in real life, obstacles make sense to an epic journey. The dilemma. Free from boredom forces. Otherwise, a matter of a good team plan.

  15. Experiment #2

i choose the movie Jumper(2008) it's a about David Rice who discovers his powers to Jump(teleport) at an early age. Now the story of the movie revolves around the relationship of David and his childhood crush Millie Harris and David avoiding the Paladins, a secret religious group that hunts and kills jumpers for the reason that no one should have to be at different places in a blink of an eye other than God.

Now for the game i think the goal should be infiltrating the Main Lair of Paladins and destroying it, in the process killing paladins and their boss. Also Players would also encounter other jumpers like Griffin, as seen in the movie. Paladin's like Roland Cox should also appear. Also the Gameplay would be something like mirrors edge, a First person Parkour game. Now imagine doing parkour and being able to teleport from place to place

now there should also be a Multiplayer mode where players would race to a specific goal while trying to avoid the other player to reach it first.

    Players: 1 player(Story Mode), (2-4) players multiplayer

Objective: In story mode, the player has to complete missions in every area like stealing an important item while having a time limit.
-In Multiplayer mode, Each player must reach the Goal or Target Place/ collect cash at a given time. Also when all 3 players are taken out the survivor wins.

    Procedure:
PC: W,A,S,D - D-pad; mouse - camera; spacebar - regular jump; Shift - Teleport Jump(hitting Shift activates Jump(Teleport), now while in Jump mode the environment and timer moves in slower and your character moves faster, also hitting shift ends the jump state. The jump state also burns the jump meter.) ; left mouse button - punch; Right M.B - Kick; alt - shows Status bars such as health meter/Stamina meter and the "Jump" gauge though the jump gauge will automatically appear in Jump state. Now your character will move slower the lower his health is and your screen will begin to blur every once in a while.

Rules: Players can only jump inside the map or jump zone, it's also the same with the single player mode, though you can jump(teleport) as far as your jump meter can handle. (though they don't have this in the movie but this will be one of the main challenges of the game and also one of the balancing elements).

Boundaries: Jump zone(Map)/ in single player as far as your jump meter can get you.

Resources: Buildings, walls, poles, fences, Etc. <---- it helps in avoiding enemies, though isn't very helpful against other jumpers but it can be used to confuse them.
Health and Stamina(used for fighting), Jump meter.

Outcome: only 1 winner in 4 players/ either you fail or succeed in the mission(single player)

Conflict: Paladins who will try and disable your power and kill you. Other jumpers who can intercept with your mission. Right utilization of the jump meter.

    Epic.

The game would be like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
The movie's about a girl named MK, who has a weird father, who's obsessed with the Leafmen. Later on, MK would find out that Leafmen really exist because she witnessed the forest queen’s death. The queen was killed by the Boggans (they're the bad guys in the story. They want to invade the whole forest) and the queen assigned MK to take care of the pod (the pod would choose the next queen) until it blooms, sooo MK became small & took care of the pod. The game would start here.
It would be a single player game. The player should take care of the pod 'till it blooms. (and of course, the player should complete the mini tasks in the game..like defeating the boggans/the bad guys or completing a puzzle..just like the game Zelda). The game is limited inside the forest..and the forest is a maze filled with puzzles. On your adventure, you'll find loots or fruits that could regain your life. Your life line increases as you level up. And you level up by battling the Boggans. Your weapon would be a bow or a leaf sword (which you can find inside a treasure box that appears on random places) There is only one outcome, the player will successfully save the pod and it will bloom under the moon’s light, and the forest will be saved. If the player cannot defeat the Boggans at the last challenge, then the battle would restart until the player successfully defeats them. Obviously, the Boggans and the maze forest are the conflict of the story.

I'd like to turn the Geronimo Stilton stories into one-player adventure games. The books are always showcasing adventures like searching for the long-lost ruby, planning and preparing halloween parties, looking for pirate treasure, and so on. One of the Geronimo Stilton books I'd like to explain and turn into a game is the one entitled "Four Mice Deep in the Jungle".

In this story, Geronimo Stilton---who has always been afraid of almost everything---has had his fears gotten the best of him, and he has to face them, but he can't. So his relatives and the charming-at-first instructor trick him into signing up to a boot camp---where he and the other mice who got tricked into signing up, too, learn about discipline, roughing it out, and facing their fears or else they'll never make it out of the camp alive. I added a few new features in the game which are not in the original story and some new characters and villains.

Players: 1 (Single player vs the system) playing as Geronimo Stilton

Goal/ Objective: You have to complete all the missions to get the plane ticket---which is literally your ticket out of boot camp.

Procedure: You have to complete a level/mission by overcoming the obstacles and face a fear by getting an object that represents that fear at the end of each level to be able to move to the next one until you complete all 10 levels and gotten all objects. For example, in the story, Geronimo falls into a deep pit and he can't get out and, to make matters worse, he has a fear of enclosed spaces. In my game, I'll incorporate that part of the story by Geronimo falling into a deep pit (the first level) and he has to go up through the mazes in the ground by climbing up the ladders while jumping over and dodging the rolling logs that come in his way to be able to get back to the surface and get the ladder, the first object. Then the player can move on to the next level and accomplish another mission. Each level is different. The last mission, in which you will get the plane ticket, requires you to complete a night survival challenge in which you have to find all your boot camp mates to rescue them from the places where they're stuck in, like a treasure hunt.

Boundaries: The arena/place in each level.

Rules: You have to complete all 9 levels to be able to play the 10th level, which is the last level. In the 10th level, you will start at the camp site and go into the jungle to face the fears you overcame in the previous levels (jumping over logs, swimming and avoiding the jellyfish, swinging on vines, etc.) until you can find every boot camp mate and free each of them using an object you won in the previous levels. You can only jump on the crawling obstacles like spiders.

Resources: The objects you won in the previous challenges are serve as your "keys" to free your boot camp mates. There are shells around every level which serve as your life ups so you can survive and stay in the game.

Outcome: The game ends when you find all your boot camp mates and free them. Once you have freed them all, you must go back to the camp site to get the plane ticket from the instructor, which means you won the game.

Conflict: There are obstacles which you can eliminate, such as the spiders in a level, by jumping on them. In the level with crocodiles, you can't destroy them, but you can keep them from biting you if you can find the correct timing in jumping on their mouths, not into their mouths. The obstacles which you cannot eliminate are the logs and other "non-living" hurdles, so you must jump over them or avoid them.

Each level until the 10th has a different adventure and different obstacles. You'll have to face them again in the last level, which makes the game harder but more exciting. The original Geronimo Stilton book has gotten even more exciting and interactive because of the game adaptation.

Movie title: Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorite directors ever; and out of all the movies he directed, Kill Bill is my favorite. Kill Bill is an action – thriller – revenge film, which is starred by Hollywood’s biggest stars like Uma Thruman and Lucy Liu. From the amazingly gruesome action scenes to the haunting music score, I think a lot of people liked this film, too.

The unnamed main protagonist – which is Uma Thurman – goes by the pseudonym “The Bride” takes on a hunting spree to kill the person who made her life miserable for the past years, Bill; hence the title. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard about this movie from other people, too, so I won’t give out all the details about this film here anymore. Internet’s your friend, friend.

I’m actually not sure if there’s a Kill Bill video game already, but Google Images showed me a lot of screencaps, so, I guess there is. But since I don’t know anything about it, let’s just pretend that this will be the first Kill Bill video game ever and I’m writing all the dramatic elements that could be found it.

    TYPE: RPG Game

STORY: Just like the storyline of the film, The Bride will go to different places and fight Bill’s pawns and search for him to take revenge.

PLAYERS: Single player vs the game’s system

GOAL OBJECTIVE: Search for clues to find where Bill is located. KILL ALL THOSE WHO WILL STAND IN YOUR WAY, WOMAN. SLASH THEM WITH YOUR MURAMASA OR WHATEVER YOU CALL THAT SAMURAI SWORD.

PROCEDURE: If it’s played on the computer, you could use your mouse and keyboard to control the player, else, if you’re playing on your Playstation 3 / 4 / XBOX, use the controller. Since you’re travelling in different places, you’ll meet a lot of mobs and the bosses in each of them. Basically, you just have to kill all of them.

BOUNDARIES: You have a life bar / HP gauge. If you ran out of HP, you’ll have to start from the beginning of the stage you’re at.

RULES: If you quit the game and played it again, it won’t load where you last left it. There are different save points in the game’s area, meaning you’ll start the game where you last used it. There are also some NPCs that you can’t kill. Stop killing everyone, please. Quests should also be accomplished before you could progress to the next game’s happenings.

RESOURCES: Ammos, weapons, medicines, and life vests. That’s all you need, soldier.

OUTCOME: Just like what was stated above, dying will get you back to the beginning of the stage you were in. If, luckily, you killed Bill, then congrats. You just finished the game! Maybe I’ll add different stuff that could make the players motivated in finishing the game like new costumes, new weapons, etc.

CONFLICT: O’ren Ishii. AVOID THAT MAFIA QUEEN. She tough tho. Bill is pretty lame. I mean, have you seen Kill Bill 2? He ------- no spoilers. Watch it. Just, avoid O’ren Ishii.

That’s basically it. A hack and slash – RPG game.

    Chosen Movie: 21 Jump Street

This is one of my favorite movies so I've decided to pick this one out for my game experiment. Anyways, this can be a 1 player or 2 player game and it will be an open world like the Grand Theft Auto and the game Bully. The only difference is you can play this game with your buddy.

Schmidt and Jenko (the main characters in the game) will be an undercover police in High school, their main goal is to infiltrate the dealers and find the supplier also there are side missions you have to complete and you might as well try to get away from troubles as much as possible so you will not be expelled in High school because if you get expelled you're kicked out in jump street ( the group of police who look young ) and if you're kicked out in jump street it will be game over but ofcourse it will not be over that easy because you can outrun the school admins for you not to be send in the principals office.

    Indiana Jones.

The Indiana Jones (franchise) is one of my all time favorite movies. The story is about the adventures of Dr.Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones. A well known archaeologists who seem to be always sought by trouble because of his work and intellect.

Story: The whole plot of the story would follow the film (series) as it goes.

    Players: Single player vs. system

    Objectives:
Unravel the mysteries presented. You need to win all of the challenges the "enemies" would throw at you and keep the girl (leading lady) alive and in love with you.

Procedure: As stated you need to finish all of the challenges and win. These challenges would be composed of puzzles, identification and good o'l fashion fighting. After every challenge you will receive power ups, items, and things that would please the girl. There would also be a market where in you could buy or trade goods for another. You can't restart a challenge once you engage to one and for every retry (because you lost) would equal to decreasing your hp and money.

Boundaries: Your hp bar would indicate how much life you have left and how much money you have.

Rules: You have to finish all the challenges accordingly. You can't move to the next chapter if you have not finish the challenge at hand.

Resources: The objects/money you come pick up as you walk. Resources would also include the prize for every challenge you finish and whatever could be found in the market.

Outcome: You are off to the next adventure. If by chance you die, then you would be held back to the challenge that got you killed, but it would be a lot harder. Plus you would receive a decrease in your hp and money as well for loosing.

Conflict: While you are on your adventure you need to make the girl love you all the way. If she gets killed or her love points turn to zero you automatically die and start from the beginning with nothing.

The plot for each Indiana Jones film is good and fun. Not only was it on film, it also has its own game. Although the game's plot is completely different from the film some find the game franchise to be fun as well. You solve puzzles and "fight" the bad guys.

    traditional playground game : patintero

Patintero, the group game that looks like letter I. The most common and playable playground play of my childhood :)

So. I will make the game more interesting and challenging by making the one who defends the line or the one who lose that chase you zombie and not just that you also need to pass 5 patintero lines to free your life and win the game without getting bitten. If you got bitten by a zombie the zombie that bites you will be freed. If your asking if the zombie is real ofcourse its not. the game will be just like 3d. You'll wear a glass then a projector will show it.

So Patintero will have the zombies of the walking dead and to add some more fear in the final line their is an apocalyptic giant that will block the line to get passed.

Not just that. The game has a time limit in each line. If you just stay the wall on your back will move towards you and will make you push forward to the zombie.

Traditional playground game: “Open the Circle”

The original mechanic of the game is there are circles drown on the floor in different places. But the number of circles must be less than the number of players. Now there will be one player who’s in charge of saying “open the circle” and every time he/she will say that, players must run and get inside the circle quickly, and one player only in every circle. Because the one player who didn’t made to get inside the circle will be evicted. And every eviction, one circle will erase, until the last player who made into the last circle will be the winner.

Now, what if it will be about like hunger games?

My experimented new game will need more players. The more players, the more fun it will be. So there are drown circles on the ground, but these circles are placed further with each one. As in, you really have to run before you get inside with the next circle. Now, every time that there will say/shout “open the circle” players must change the circle where they’re standing, only one player per circle and only one circle at a time. Quickly get inside the circle because while they’re running, there will be another group of players (tagged players/ taya) will chase them and if they got tagged, they will be part of the group of tagged players. So the players will really have to run faster. And also, each player will have to fight for their circle. (for example: even a player 1 made into the circle first, a player 2 could steal his/her circle by pushing or getting rid of him/her from the circle, therefore once you got out of the circle which is the safe zone, the tagged players will have the chance to tag you.) and the more players will tag the harder to get into the next circle. The last player who made into the next circle without being tagged wins.

    TUMBANG PRESO.

    Ever watched TRON: LEGACY?

They have the Games, where they make dysfunctional programs fight to the death with their fancy light cycles and their identity discs for the entertainment of the many. What a bunch of A-holes.

Now imagine tumbang preso being brought to the games. There will be a canister on the middle of the ring within a circle. Like the original game, the players must hit the canister with their discs from the safe zone while a skilled soldier, The Deflector, deflect the discs (CLU doesn't like winners). Until the canister is toppled off the soldiers may never touch the players.

But if ever a player does indeed topple the canister off the circle, two more skilled guards, The Retrievers, take back the canister and throw it to the Deflector to return it to the circle. The players can hit the canister with their discs to keep it longer and save the other players. But once the canister is returned, any player who is outside of the safe zone may be derezzed (aka Be Deleted Forever) by the soldiers.

The game lasts for 3 hours and the remaining players may live. But the soliers are programmed to be the fvcking best 'cos you know, CLU doesn't like winners.

  25. “Beyonders: A World Without Heroes”

First series adventure book written by Brandon Mull and one of my favourite author. I want to create his story book as an adventure game with different challenges like other games. A combination of Visual novels, Dating Sims, Harvest Moon and Assassin creed games. Of course, like any other game, I want to include a romance part where you can talk and date in your chosen partner.

Playing this kind of game would be an interesting thing where you can experience complete package of different kinds of game.

Story: The story revolves around Jason Walker, a teenage boy who wished his life could be less predictable—until a routine day at the zoo ends with Jason suddenly transporting from the hippo tank into a strange, imperilled world. Lyrian, the world that holds dangers and challenges unlike anyplace Jason has ever known.
In his search for a way home, Jason meets Rachel, who was also mysteriously drawn to Lyrian from our world. With the help of a few scattered rebels, Jason and Rachel become entangled in a quest to piece together the word of power that can destroy the emperor and learn that their best hope to find a way home will be to save this world without heroes.

Players: Single player (Player vs. System)

Objective: The main protagonist must complete the “CODE” or word that will eliminate the evil. Along the he meets different people that could be his allies that help him complete his mission and fight the evil ones: monsters, enemies, and evil wizards.

Procedure: It would be like any adventure game where you complete different missions to proceed in the next level. Fight every monster alongside with your allies that helps you accomplished the mission and collects the “CODE” and information.

Rules: You control the main game character by using the commands in the main rule book of the game and collect items. Talk to your partner and game characters to gather information in helping your mission. Use powerful attacks with your chosen weapon that evolves throughout the gameplay play until you reach the maximum power of your weapon. When you die you can continue your game in the last place or previous city you came and continue to fight. But if you win a certain level in fighting the opponent, you can collect the information, increase your power level and of course, proceed to the next level. Along the way there beautiful sceneries and cities where you continue the romance time of the game, where you level up the love percentage of your partner and have a happy ending when you complete the game, depending on your works.

Resources: You can use the items you collect to fight and help you in your mission. The information you gather to unlock the mystery of game or clue in your quest.

Boundaries: Once the player is in battle of the main boss monster, you can’t quit until you finished fighting or else you will loss a given information and start over on the last city you came. You can’ t change your chosen partner until you reach the level 3 of game or else you will the chance of winning the game or complete the essence of the visual story board of the game.

Outcome: Once you complete the story of the game, you will be rewarded and unlock the main mystery of the “Evil One” and save pictures that could be your wallpaper. Have a happy ending with your partner. And also, play again the game with different partner because each partner has different side story and path to complete the game.

    Conflict: Enemies along the way.

Boss Soundtrack from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

I’m going to turn the game’s soundtrack into a sword duel game.

    Players: Two players.

Procedure: Controls will be mapped for a vertical slash, horizontal slash, block, parry and movement.

    Rules:

Objectives: The two players try to outmatch and subdue each other.
Restriction: Players cannot attack if they are low on stamina. Players can only move left or right and the only permitted vertical movement is through jumping.
Effects: Player lands a blow on opposing player, that player loses life. Zero life equals death. Blocking an attack pushes an enemy away. A successful parry allows the player to land a free hit while a failed parry opens the player for a free hit for the enemy.

Boundaries: Standard fighting game stage. Screen scrolls horizontally when players are far away from each other.

Resources: The players who are going to duel. Life and Stamina gauge. Distance as knowing the reach of your attack is very vital to the duel.

Outcome: Zero-Sum game, one player wins while the other loses.

Conflict: The opposing opponent will not easily let the player win as it a duel to the death.

The game’s idea is somehow based on the game Bushido Blade on the Playstation One. The reason why the game is a sword based duel game because the soundtrack’s lyrics and the fact that the music is used on the game as one on one boss fight.

  28. "Warm Bodies"

Story: R, a young zombie whose outside slack-jawed appearance is at odds with his chatty inner monologue. He's bored with his life, which involves shuffling around an abandoned airport, occasionally experiencing a human's memories by eating their brains, and having grunting conversations with his best friend M.

One day they run into a group of humans, including Nora and Julie and her boyfriend Perry. R soon unexpectedly falls for Julie, saves her and keeps her as a pet to stare at. His love restarts his heart, setting off a change that could affect the whole post-apocalyptic world.

    Players: (Multiplayer or Singleplayer)

Objective: To help R and Juliet tell the head of the military Gen.Jacob (Juliet's Father) that the virus is curable. Before that, they need to surpass the "Bonnies" (Zombies that doesn't have flesh anymore) along their way.

Procedure: R will protect Juliet through the secret passage where "Bonnies" are hiding.
Juliet must act like a zombie and R should put blood on Juliet's cloth so that she will not get noticed. but when they get noticed they should run fast as they can because bonnies are too quick.

Rules: If playing single player, you can't control your teammates (Zombies) will automatically just follow you and help you through out the game they will be switched in to bot mode. if playing multiplayer all player should stick together and go the same way you cannot scatter because the team will not continue to the next stage if someone's on the other direction, you should stick together.

Resources: You can use the firearms of the dead militaries and some knives or broken glass to hit the bonnies along your way. everything will be provided in the checkpoints.

Boundaries: If one player reached the end the boundary of the map, he/she will not be able to pass through it. you can see a very huge area on it but it's not all passable, limited areas are only set so that everyone will stick together.

Outcome: The moment you finish all the stage all zombies' curse will be gone and they will be back to normal.

    Conflict: Bonnies are too strong.

Once a partner is chosen, the players must start the game with playing jankenpon (rock-paper-scissors). The winner would be able to choose between two options: The one who gets the block from the tower, or the one who places it atop. The loser, would take on whatever the winner didn't do (get or stack).

    Book Title: Monster High

This book is the first of Lisi Harrison's monster-themed love stories. I want to create a multi-player adventure game with the player completing quests to finish the game. It will be a combination of a story mode and sim game.

Story: The story is all about newbie Melody Carver and her family, who left glamorous Beverly Hills for the fresh air of Salem, Oregon. Just when she was finally fitting in and she meets the guy of her dreams, bizarre rumors about monster sightings arise.

Frankie Stein on the other hand is just like Melody, a newbie but she is a monster, literally a monster. And because of her and Melody, the secret of the monster community in Salem is in trouble. Can they keep this secret while dealing with boys, fashion and school?

Players: Multi- player (Player vs. System)

Objective: The main protagonist must go through different chapters of the game and collect the missing pages of the Monster High Yearbook without getting caught by the press. Along the chapters the player meets different monsters that could be his/her allies that help him complete the book and keep the press at bay.

Procedure: It would be an adventure game, every chapter, you will complete a task/quest to obtain the missing page, all the while meeting other monsters that help you with your missions.

Rules: The only rule of the game is to not be caught by any member of the press or any RADS (Regular Attribute Dodgers). Once you are caught, you lose and the game will reset to the start of the chapter.

Resources: You can use different items you find to fight and ask other monsters for help.

Boundaries: There are cases that the character may need to fight another monster/character to retrieve the page of the book. Once this happens, the character cannot quit or save the game, if the game is disrupted there will be data loss and the character automatically goes back to the start of the chapter.

Outcome: Once you complete the book, the monsters will once again be safe and you might end up with you potential partner. There are also different character profiles that will be obtained, along with the pages that will help you throughout the game.

Conflict: Press and RADS will increase in number every chapter

  32. #2 : Hunger Games

Being a popular book that I loved ever since before the release of the movies, I think this book would be a compelling game. In this world, you would be picked at a Reaping and would be forced to fight against 23 other children around your age.

    SP:
For the first play through, it will be a linear game where you would be able to watch Katniss's side stories in mini-clips scattered all over the course of the game. It's a single player game, with the unlockable multiplayer game mid-course of the game. You would be given quests, but you'll be able to explore the arena as much as you want. Of course, you won't be able to get a move on unless you finish the goal. Otherwise, you can do what you want and get killed. hahaha

Stats are gained through the training room before the initial game, just like the book. It's an important part of the game. Weapons, just like in the movie, are attainted through picking up from dead players or the Cornucopia, how you use them depends how your training with them or your district (obv., katniss if from 12. But she's special in the case that she does hunting). You can climb trees using a specific button combinations, but how fast you can climb them depends on your stats too. Players that will be needed in the story would not show up unless needed to, but you can kill the other unnamed NPCs in-game, that will help with your overall stats or get an achievement. You can stay for how long inside the tournament, but that will not affect the initial storyline, since you still need to finish the given goal.

If you finish the game, you can have a special title and skill awarded to your Multiplayer character.

MP/PvP (Because eventually everyone wants to kill their friends!)
Before the game starts, you have the freedom to choose how you character looks. Age, Ethnicity, Gender, and all that heck. You can buy more special items in the in-game shop. huehuehue. As such, they will be blank slates at the start of the game so let's give them a special ability, just like katniss had with her bow and peeta with his camouflage, that would add to their advantage and eliminating the "training" before the game. Optional added elements would be that you could also pick which district you're from, also contributing to your stats and skills in multiplayer. With these, you can now start the game and virtually kill all your friends until one survives.

The game could be played through several consoles, so a PC version would be more appropriate than consoles like PS3 or XBox. Each player per console. Multiplayer arenas could be played in public or private rooms. Any empty slots shall be controlled by AI and the room player limit could be customized by the room creator. Sending chats can only be seen in text bubbles in-game. Talk too near to a player, and you'll be caught, just like in real life. This could also be a way to form a temp. alliance too.

Players: The more the merrier nut it shouldn't be less than 3 because if would be boring to play it.

Objective: The Game "Cops & Robbers", "Freeze Tag" and "Hide & Seek" all have one in common which was the person who is IT or the person who has been chosen (such as the cop, the it or the seeker). Just like cops and robbers, the person who is assigned to be a cop has to find ALL players and make sure they stay in the 'so called cell'

Procedure: The game starts where in all the players are locked and placed into one room then, the cop would let them out and make them do crazy things (depends on what he/she would like). If the cop catches one of them going out, making them head towards outside or a designed place to be safe and to be called an 'escaper'. He can do the ff: just like in freeze tag he/she it been tagged is 'not allowed to move' In this game whoever, if the cop catches them, the player is given a chance he can either help him get all his jail friends or go back to the cell (which is from the start). The players are also allowed to hide for a limited number only.

Resources: I would say good places to hide.

Outcome: If the assigned Cop win, he wins. He has the decision whether he/she would still be the cop or who would be the next 'cop'

Conflict: If the location is good for hiding the assigned 'cop' would have a hard time and If one of the players would also be a fast runner. In short, in order the cop to win he/she must be both skilled and wise.

  34. Experiment #2

    Anime Title: Angel Beats

Players: Single/Multiplayer (Max of 3 per "battle mode")

Experimentation: Angel Beats plus Dynasty/Samurai Warriors gameplay with a bunch of cameo and unlockable Anime characters. :>

The Lobby is a large online map where the players can go on "roaming mode". (to search some friends, accept quests and join other people's story campaign, or even go on pvp)

The players are to customize their own character that can be playable (they can also use other characters available instead). The custom character will be also used as the player's avatar in The Lobby

Resource Change: Pre-game preparations are still available (character-only weapons and skills), but in each map, there are misc items and misc equipments randomly scattered through out. (guns and etc) Even tho each character has their own skills, they can collect items and use them in the given duration, applying effects according to what kind of item. Note: CPU Bosses and enemy officers can use them also.
Plus costumes and other items are available to be bought in the Lobby

Boundaries: in "battle mode", the players are only limited to designated play area. They can destroy certain places for them to make a pathway. when in "roaming mode" players will be sent to The Lobby which is a large 'non-playerkill' map.

Conflict: The main story line revolves around the main characters of Angel Beats, players must finish the Main Story Campaign for them to be able to go hosting Quests/Minigames/ and Pvp in The Lobby.

    Btooom! (manga/anime)

Ryota Sakamoto is an unemployed 22-year-old young man who lives with his mother Yukie. He is one of the world's top players of the combat video game called Btooom! One day, he awakes in what appears to be a tropical island, though he does not remember how or why he has been transported there. While wandering around, Ryota sees someone and calls out for help. The stranger responds by throwing a bomb at him. Ryota soon realizes that his life is in danger and that he has somehow been trapped in a real-life version of his favorite game. In the game Ryota meets Himiko, who is another Btooom! player and is actually Ryota's in-game wife.

Players: Two player. Main character as Ryota Sakamoto and the other as Himiko

Objectives: to get 8 chips by killing 8 people on the game, which are system controlled. Another is to know who the mastermind is and to be able to get out of the island together with Himiko

Procedures: The controls are similar to any action game though the weapons in this game, instead of guns, are bombs of different kinds and are very much limited. When your sensor detects an enemy nearby, use some sort of strategy to survive and kill the opponents. Collect 8 chips and you’ll survive the game.

    Rules:
    Objects/Terms:
Chips- they are attached on every player’s hand. When you kill someone, It’ll come off and by collecting 8 of it, it is said that you’ll be able to go back to japan and escape the island.
Bombs- these are the weapons used in the game. There are ones who have a timer and some has a lock-on target.

Restrictions: Only the island is available for expedition. There are buildings though that you might want to use as a hideout from enemies at night.

Effects: If you aren't able to get 8 chips, either you’ll get killed by other players or remain stuck in the island.

    Boundaries: Unknown tropical island.

Resources: You can get food and health potions from the cases people from the helicopter throws on the island every day. Though there’s a big chance that players would kill anyone who’ll get in their way just to get them. You might as well get the items dropped by players that you’ve killed. That way, the number of your weapons would increase too

    Outcome:
Zero-sum game. This is a kill-or-get-killed game where surviving is the most important.

    Conflicts:
Opponents, obstacles, and limited weapons. There’s also the struggle for possession of food and health potions.

    Dilemmas
If I have my partner as Himiko, we have to get 2 times of the chips needed to escape the game.
Which type of bomb should I use?
Where is a good place to hide and kill enemies?
Is it good to move around during nighttime?

If this were a real game, I’d love to play it and I bet it’ll be awesome.

  38. D. Gray Man Seasons 1 & 2
    D. Gray Man is a manga turned anime by Ms. Katsura Hoshino, when turned into a game I would like to imagine it mainly as a 1 player game vs. the system or a 2 player coop game vs. the system.
The gamer/s can choose to be Kanda, Allen, Lavi or Lenalee wherein they would have to battle with the Noah’s and collect innocence. The game would be like Naruto Shippuden that can be played on adventure mode or in battle mode. In adventure mode, there would be partnered or solo missions in where they would have to battle akumas and to beat a member of Noah to end the mission and sometimes to recover innocence. Of course the game would follow the original flow of the story. The player’s weapon will depend on the character that they would choose Allen’s weapon is called Crowned Clown where in the first half of the game, the character’s arm would be armor-like and can turn into a claw, a canon and a sword and in the second half of the game his arm would evolve, it would turn black that can turn into a sword. Kanda’s weapon is a black katana (Japanese sword) called Mugen, Lavi’s weapon is a small hammer that can be big and elongate when desired, he can summon different elements and control it with his hammer it is called Ozuchi Kozuchi (Big Hammer, Little Hammer), Lenalee’s weapon of choice is called Dark Boots in which she can travel with a speed of light and destroy things by kicking them. The enemies are the akumas that evolves in the game, the role of the akumas is to defeat the player before they reach the boss of the mission which is a member of the Noah Clan, the akumas can evolve from levels 1 to 4. The main enemy is the Noahs and Millenium Earl as their leader. In the battle mode, the players can use the Noah Clans (namely Road, Tyki, Earl, Jasdevi (David and Jasdero), Skinn Boric and Lulubell), the akumas from levels 1 to 4, and other characters of the game (namely General Cross, General Tiedoll, Miranda, Marie, Daisya, Krory, General Sokalo, General Kaud, Generel Yeegar and others) .
The Game would have health bars that will reach zero in every damage is inflicted to the character, they would have special attacks that will help the gamers to easily defeat the Noahs and a bar that you have to fill to use the special attacks

  39. The Walking Dead TV Series (Experiment #2)

PLAYER: Single Player (First person view), characters can be played are Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon. The game is powered by a Telltale Engine. The game is released episodically, Several episodes, released together in a season, are released periodically through a certain timeframe, often concluding around half a year or so after the initial release.

OBJECTIVE: Survive by staying alive and accomplishing the mission objective.

PROCEDURES: The game is played by following the actual television storyline but with few scenes that are not featured. (Just to spice things up) There will also be bonus rounds where players can have free time to practice killing walkers (The more walker kills = the more experience/skills you have = the stronger the player will be) Each season, there will be

    - Follow the given task, so less likely you will die. Ok?
    - There are only two characters, Rick and Daryl. But in bonus/free time mode, you can switch players. Characters will be Glenn, Carl, Maggie, and Michonne.

BOUNDARIES: The player cannot switch character if he has already a first choice. If the player chose Rick before the game, the player can use Daryl in a separate game but with the same storyline as Rick. It’s just the character changed but not the storyline.
Rick can get the tank in Season 1 but the player must save the horse.

There is a cool phase in the game. You can use THE GOVERNOR in Season 3 up to Season 4 if you saved Dale and Sophia in Season 2. If the player, uses The Governor up to Season 4, take or leave it.. The Governor must lose/die because that’s how it’s supposed to be in the storyline. Sorry kids, no spaghetti Tuesdays for you.

RESOURCES: Guns, shelter, walker kill (Killing walkers will gain you more skills like accuracy, strength, courage, etc.)

OUTCOME: Win the episode to level up, until to the last season. But there is still no Season 5 huehuehue.

CONFLICT: People who will be a distraction to winning (Shane, Lori, The Governor, etc.) and of course, MOTHERFUCKIN’ WALKERS.

  45. I'd make the film Insidious into an 8-bit horror game. The characters would be the same characters in the movie and the player would be playing as the father of the family but there are some parts of the game where he will play as Dalton, his son. The story would go the same way the movie did. The game begins at a scene of the father's childhood when he was astral-projecting in his sleep. Once he encounters the old woman in a black wedding dress, the scene will fade and the game will resume to the present day. The story will go on day by day, so as another day passes more and more scary things will occur, just like in the movie. Also, during the night, you will play as Dalton while he is in his astral state and explore the house. This will go on a few nights until Dalton gets captured by a demon. Then, at some point in the game, the father will have to enter his astral state and rescue his son from the "other" world, which will be the ultimate goal in the game.
Since this is a horror game, it will use sound to help scare the player, same way the movie did.
During the game some objectives will be given like household chores. These tasks will be given by the characters in the game like the mother. The main goal will be to save your son once he gets trapped in the "other" world.
Basically, the rule is to live through everyday and go through whatever hauntings will occur. In the day, you can't leave the house because you won't have to. And the things you'll need to accomplish tasks will be located inside the house and it won't be too hard to find. The characters will give a clue to where you can find the items. In the "other" world, you'll just come across the items you'll need like the lamp.

Once you find your son, you will have to race back to your bodies while staying away from souls that will try to stop you and from the demon that's chasing you. However, at some point your character will feel too tired to keep going and ask Dalton to go ahead. At this point, you'll switch and play Dalton as you continue running away from the demon that's chasing you and looking for your body. Once you find your body, the demon disappears. At this point the scene fill fade and a cinematic scene appears. This will notify you that you've won the game.
However, there will be an epilogue, this time you'll be playing as the mother and, in the end, she will realize that her husband never made it to his body and another soul as possessed him instead (like in the movie). This game will have a sequel so that we don't have to summarize the whole thing in one game and add more levels.

  46. Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets

I choose Harry Potter because this is one of the first games that I played on the play station. Now, how can I change and play around with the formal elements? I'll make it simple yet with a twist.

    PLAYERS

First, when it comes to the players most of the time it would only be Harry Potter. You can also have the chance to use Hermione or Ron but not have two players at the same time. What I could change is have Harry Potter and Hermione or Ron as a tag team. If one is tired or runs out of life the other player can save Harry. Another one is they can tag team with fellow Gryffindor or even with the different Hogwart houses.

    OBJECTIVE

The objective of Chamber of Secrets is that it has certain challenges specified in the book, like going through the Forbidden Forest to collect ingredients for a potion. One must go through combating bosses, learning to ride the broom and mastering different spells. I'm already satisfied with the different challenges in Harry Potter that's why I can't say that I would like to remove or add any into the game.

    BOUNDARIES

Boundaries of the game would just be within Hogwarts and the forest or premises surrounding it. Going beyond it would be difficult already, it would make the game longer and the other Harry Potter games like Prisoner of Azkaban wouldn't have any settings left to use. Thus, would break the uniqueness of every game sequel.

    RESOURCES

Maybe what I can add on to it is when it comes to the resources is that every time you successfully complete the said challenge the character will get a reward. May it be another potion, another wand or even a different attire just to put a different essence to the game.

    OUTCOME

One can be declared a winner when Harry Potter or your character finishes the challenge and comes out alive or perhaps if you completely finish the game. One can be declared the loser if you get defeated within the challenge you are tackling.

    CONFLICT

When it comes to the conflict I don't think I would add anything into the game. Harry Potter games is already complex at it is adding more into it would make the game harder to play and may end into losing the interest of the player.

  47. PIKO

I choose the game "piko", this is a traditional Filipino game that's mostly played on the streets. The story of this game is you have several drawn boxes on the ground that's usually numbered 1 to 10. You have what they calle "pamato" or you could simply use a rock. First is you throw the rock and it must land within the boxes drawn, you will have to jump on the boxes depending if it's a solo one or there's two. Remember to keep your balance, not step on the lines and once you get to pick up your "pamato" you must continue towards the end which is number 10.

    Characters:

This kind of game can be played solo and the other players will just wait until it's their turn. What I can change is there will be two sets of paths drawn and of course 2 sets of groups with 2 to 3 players at least. It will end as a racing game and they must reach the 10th box without falling, stepping on the lines and all players must be able to reach the end.

Also I want to add into the game is there would be different levels, maybe up to 3. When you're done or finished with the first level with just 10 boxes, you'll draw more paths and boxes. Maybe up to 15 or 20 and it would still be a race between the two teams. By the end of the game the team who loses will have to face a consequence depending on the winning team.

  48. Dramatic Elements experiment #1

I choose the game "bang sak". It's a classic street game that's basically like hide and seek. The only difference is that the "it" says "bang [insert name of the person that the "it" saw]" and the opponents has two touch the "it" and say sak in order for them to win.

For my experiment, I would like to add story to the whole game play. I'd also probably revise player rotation, and roles.

My take on this would be like, there's a damsel in distress. There would be two teams playing. The assassins and the villains. The villain's objective is to prevent the assassins from getting to the damsel in distress and vice versa. That's basically my take on it. This would probably make the more tactical and more tense due to the fact that there are a lot of villains and the assassins have to stealthily touch the villains whilst still saying "sack" and not getting detected.

    Player rotation:
The damsel in distress would be the first person that the villains tag from the assassins. The assassins has to touch all the villains in order for them to be able to save the damsel in distress.

    Player roles:
Damsel in distress - can't kill anyone but what he/she can do is say the whereabouts of the villains.
Villains - "Bang" every assassin in order to win
Assassins - Touches every villain in order to save the damsel in distress

    Rules:
There would be 5 rounds and every after round, both teams switches their roles.

Kim asks Bryan for permission to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. Bryan balks at the two girls travelling alone, but relents when Lenore complains that he is overprotective. He gives Kim an international cellphone, and makes her promise to call every day. At Los Angeles International Airport, he learns that the girls are not staying in Paris, but are following U2 during their European tour.
Arriving in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Kim and Amanda meet Peter, a scout for a kidnapping gang, who offers to share a cab with them and so learn where they are staying. Kim believes they are staying with Amanda's cousins but, upon arriving at the apartment, learns that the cousins are actually in Spain, and becomes slightly nervous. While talking to Bryan on the phone in the bathroom, Kim sees Amanda being kidnapped by intruders. Bryan instructs her to go to the nearest room and hide under a bed. He explains that when the men find her, she has to shout out their physical descriptions. Kim is pulled out violently from under the bed, and she complies with her father's instructions before the phone is found. Bryan warns the person over the phone that they have this one chance to release his daughter, or else he will begin hunting them down and killing them. He's told "good luck" and the connection is terminated.

You’ll play as Bryan and you have to save Kim who was kidnapped by human traffickers for sexual slavery while travelling in France. You have to investigate and kill people who are responsible on Kim’s kidnapping. Every opponent has a clue; one opponent, one clue. You can only get weapons on your killed opponent. Movie: Space Jam

    Players: Single Player and MultiPlayer

Objective: Your objective is to score more points than the opposing team. More like a basketball gameplay

Procedure: So the gameplay is like a basketball gameplay, you'll pass the ball then shoot it in the hoop. Block the ball and such.

Rules: Rules are simple, follow the rules of the basketball. Do not any turnovers and stuffs. Don't make bad plays. Then, every character has a special skill, example; Bugs Bunny has a skill of digging a hole. On the offensive, you can use this skill to go pass the enemy and shoot the ball. On defensive, you can use this skill to steal the ball.

Boundaries: The game will happen in a basket ball arena which has different design and special effects.

Resources: In order to win the game, you can't just simply shoot the ball and score, you need to use your character's skill in a creative way.

Outcome: The game will be over if you lose the game then ask you if you want to continue or not.

Conflict: Well there aren't anymore conflict besides the story. You'll just be challenged by an opponent then just win the game, then after you win the game, the story will go on with a cutscene.

  51. MOVIE: Hunger Games

It will only be a single player. The character of the game would still be Katniss Everdeen. The concept of the game will be a first-person shooter. The idea is that she can use several weapons based on what weapons are used in the movie but her basic weapon is the bow. The goal of the game is that the player should be able to use Katniss to defeat all the assigned players in every district except district 12 because it's the only district where she belongs.

Every time she defeats one of her opponents in different districts, she collects their weapons and she levels up her attack and skill points. When Katniss starts defeating her opponent, the game would turn into like a battle mode. There would be a life bar appearing on top so that you would know if you are nearly winning or losing against your opponent. Also, you can choose what weapon you would like to use while you are on the battle mode. The game has stages. The first stage would be easy until she gets to the farther stage which would be more difficult. Every stage has an assigned opponent from ever district. In the last stage, Katniss Everdeen would be defeating the most difficult opponent in the game. Every time she explores around the forests or near the tents, she would encounter secret power ups for her life and strength or upgrades for the weapons that she is using.

The game would only be finished if Katniss was able to defeat the strongest opponent in the game and if she was able to collect all the weapons and secret power ups in the game. In the game, there would be a story mode based on what really happened in the movie.

a 3rd person single player RPG horror-adventure game wherein the main goal is to survive the apocalypse, find a cure and get to the survivors colony. That's the main objective of the game, but then there are side missions wherein you look for other survivors (which may also be real persons or NPC) and help each other through the game. This game would also have scavenging. The game would also be free roaming yet have that streamline story (basically like spider man 2 the game for the ps2 if you don't get it) and the story basically depends on where you started. It would probably have numerous back stories you can choose from while making your character.

Rules for this game would be to live and survive everyday and try your best to find other companions and find a cure to end the apocalypse. The challenge in surviving is finding resources which is quite scarce for the main reason that it's the apocalypse. Resources include water, med-kit, food, ammunitions, other weapons, alcohol to hide your tracks, gas for your vehicle and a place to stay in. This may seem like a very free game but the boundaries of course include a limited map where you can only explore. There would also be limited time you can go out for the hemocytes go out and hunt at night. And as for conflict, the hemocytes would always be there to kill and infect you and the limited supplies you may have. and other players might kill you for the supplies you find at the same area.

the outcome of the game is probably you and other players (if you decided to have a companion or find one) reach the colony or find a cure. Notice two ways to finish the game. Although you can finish both goals and free roam all through out.

The book: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

Since I just finished the book recently and it has been on my mind, I decided to use this as my experiment source.

A single player, first person RPG game as the narrator of the book - Hazel Grace Lancaster. The game will most likely be like the book, but you would have to make kindofa hard decisions throughout. Every choice you make would have a different effect in the game and thus, the game would or would not end as the book did.

There would also be parts where you would be able to alter decisions of other people in the game. Like for example, in one scene where Isaac smashed all the trophies in Augustus's room - Yes or No. Just seemingly simple tasks, but when you knew the book, you would think twice. Some of the parts in the game would also be improvised (not in the book itself) so that it's more interesting to play.

You can die in the middle of the game if your choices led you to it. Not only you but your friends in the game as well. It would a little sensitive of a topic or game since it involves children as cancer patients but nevertheless, it's about making life decisions and realizing consequences in everything you do. It's a story-based game which aims to be educational at the same time.

The game ends when you reach the ending of the book without dying in the process.

    Movie: Insidious (part 1)

It will be a first person game and the objective will be like in the story of the actual movie, the protagonist or the main character will be the father who will be finding his son Dalton from the antagonists which are the ghosts and demons. The player must finish the quests; he must find clues to get into Dalton’s dream and talk to other character inside the game to find where the soul of his son is. The fun and challenge of the game is that he must pass through the challenges before getting through the “big boss” which is the Old woman. For example, he must find the doodles of his son that he saw in his dream, talk to spiritual guides and find certain things or tools needed in the game. Scary visual sounds must be used to add thrill and excitement in the game until it ends. The game ends when the player find Dalton in his dreams or “nightmare” and bring his soul back in his body.

  55. Experiment #2:

I chose the movie ‘I Am Number Four’, an American teen action science fiction film wherein starts off with the Mogadorians killing the nine remaining of Loric Garde, probably the third one. They were nine alien from the planet Lorien that has been sent to Earth as a child to escape from the invading Mogadorians. For short, it’s about killing the Loric Garde with the consequence of killing the Number One through Number Nine.

I’d like to make this as a game because of this is an action science fiction that in my opinion, it’s a complex story that I think everyone would like this and knowing this story will challenge them of how to escape, not be killed by the Mogadorians and find the blue rocks (two piece of it/tracking device).

PLAYERS: Single Player (Player vs. System)
For the Single Player its John Smith aka Number Four, the main character. (This is actually a like-two-player but the other player is a system that will help the player, so it’s seems like – Player and System vs. System but logically it’s still Player vs. System).
*Note: Number Six is one who will helped to kill the Mogadorians against Number Four and being led by Number Six on her motorcycle to where ever the next of the Loric Garde may be.

OBJECTIVE: On how to win this game it is to make sure that you can kill the Mogadorians against the remaining Loric Garde and find the two pieces of blue rocks (tracking device) and fix it together for you to know where is the ever next target of the Loric Garde.

PROCEDURE: Just like in the movie, Number Four/John Smith and his guardian Henris move to an old farm in Paradise. His guardian will let him to go to school. John will meet a girl named Sarah Hart. He will discover something and more in every day passed by.
The player will start a game the day that John will find out his power by disobeying his guardian, sneaks out of his house, and goes to a nearby forest where he finds he is able to throw large rocks at supersonic speeds, run faster than he ever could before, and survive long falls with ease. The game wherein there are different missions that the player must accomplish. In a day, you must accomplish that the games given without second attempt so that you can go on another day and also receive a reward, meaning you’ve leveled up. And come up with another mission and finished it. By the day passed or level, there would be difficult challenges, of course to make it more fun (like hard to find this and that).

    RULES
RESTRICTION: When the player is on a mission, the player cannot use his power unless it is needed and the game itself will give a notice or permission to the player to use his power. However, the player can’t go back to where he accomplished a level unless he finished the game. Also, the player can’t pick a level.

RESOURCES: There would be unlimited lives in every level. There would be also an ammos and power-ups (special for every mission like when you finished a little by little task in that level you will gain power-ups).

OUTCOME: Once you have finished all the missions and you find the two pieces of blue rocks (tracking device) and fix it together, you will know where will be the next target and you’ll win the game.

CONFLICT: Just like in the movie, when John is at Mark James house for a party then a fire starts trapping, Sarah Hart. This leads to John rescuing her and showing who he really is. The next day at school, Mark finds out what John is and John panics and goes home, little did he know that Mark and his dad the sheriff they argue with Henri and Henri manages to make them leave. The next day at school he finds out that the Mogradorians are out to get him. And Number Four and Number Six will collaborate to fight against the Mogarodians since Number Six is looking for the next target Number Four.

Music Track: Ylvis - What Does The Fox Say

Contrary to the trollish and fun nature of the song, my experiment of the game would be a dark and mysterious one. It would be a First Person exploration game much like Gone Home, Outlast, Amnesia etc.

The plot would be about an inspector trapped in a research facility. The backstory would be that an experiment subject named "The Fox" escaped from its cage/tube and managed to kill and disembody the employees inside the building.

The player would then wake up and found himself locked in a room, the objectives would be to solve puzzles in order to escape from the facility. During the course of the game, the player would uncover the secret behind the facility. Along the way, there are jump scares to disturb the player and to keep the player from being bored. The electricity is cut and it is currently night time in the game.

The player eventually finds out that "The Fox" was a genetic experiment of mixing a fox dna with a human body and that the person that was experimented on was the ex husband of his current wife.

  60. I would choose the movie TOY STORY 3

The game would focus on the return of Woody to the Sunnyside Daycare to save his friends from Lotso. The player would play as Woody and try to save Buzz and the others.

Objectives:The objective of the game is to save everyone in the Sunnyside Daycare from the evil toys and help change the condition of the toys in the Caterpillar room.

Rules: You have to sneak into the Daycare without being spotted by the evil toys. You will have to solve different puzzles and battle the evil toys in order to save the day.

Restrictions: The player would be confined in the different areas in the Daycare (ex Caterpillar Room, Butterfly Room, etc) unless he can solve the puzzles and traps without being detected by the toys.

Resources: You would have unlimited lives however you would repeat the current stage when you are caught or defeated by the enemy toys.

Outcome: The player would be given different choices and each choice would lead to a different ending of the game (ex you would be given choices such as forgiving Lotso and trying to talk some sense into him, throwing Lotso in the trash like in the movie). Each game ending would lead to a different cutscenes in the movie (ex Lotso would be stuck infront of the Dump Truck like in the movie, Change in the management of the play time in the Caterpillar Room like the ending of the movie wherein Barbie and Ken made everything better).

Conflict: When you are caught by the enemy toys, you will be forced to battle them. If you lose you would lose the game and have to continue from your last saved location.

  61. I have always been an avid reader. One particular book that I loved and would like to have a game on is Vampire Academy, the whole book series. In truth, there is already a movie based on it, but not a game. What I found so inticing about this book is that instead of the guy saving the girl, it was the girl who saves the guy, not just any guy, but her love interest and her teacher. The main story revolves on Rose Hathaway who is a dhamphir (half vampire half human). She is best friends with Lissa Dragomir, a Moroi (good vampires that can use magic in either elemental or spirit form). They ran away from their school because of some threats to Lissa's life. While hidding, they got caught by the school's elite Dhampir guards, one of them was Dimitri. They were forced to go back to school and there, Dimitri, became Rose's special tutor since she missed a lot of training. And the story escalates until Dimitri was bitten by a Strigoi, Dark Vampires that drinks blood until the humans die, considered to be soulless and attacks Morois and Dhampirs to turn them into strigoi or kill them. And Rose decided to save her mentor and her love interest, leaving Lissa in the school, running away again.

If ever A game can be made from this, I would like it to be played in either PSP, Nintendo 3DS Light, or Computer. It would be story based. I would also like to incorporate some Otome game qualities in it. The Naration will be typed bellow the screen then when the time came to take a choice in what to say to someone. Based on your answers, your path will be woven. Each choice will lead to a particular ending or event.

But I don't want it to be just Otome. I also want to add some puzzles in it. Since the Main story plot is mystery, adventure and some problem solving, since you have to find out where Dimitri is, or who was threatening Lissa before. There will be problem solving, like searching for something in a crime scene, or solving a riddle in a paper you found. Something in those lines.

Another thing is that, I also want some fight scenes. Like If it will be night time outside the school, you might encounter some Strigoi (they can only come out during the night) and you will have to fight them by button smashing. if you run out of HP, you die and it's game over.

In the beggining of the game though, I also want the players to be able to choose a character they want to play as. They can either play as Rose, the main protagonist of the story or as Lissa, since she has her own version of the story (besides, in the story, both of them are connected by this wierd mind link in which Rose can feel and read Lissa's thoughts whenever and wherever. )

    ReplyDelete
  62. There will be different endings of course.

ROSE: One ending that is common is the death by loosing HP while fighting Strigoi. Another is that you won't be able to save Dimitri, and kills him instead (it was on possibility in the story). Another is that she ends up being with the other Moroi that fell in love with her, Adrian Ivashkov. Another ending i can think of is that Dimitri actually kills he while he was a Strigoi. And, the happy ending in which she is able to save Dimitri, be with him forever and actually see Lissa be queen and become her own personal Dhampir (Dhampir's jobs are to protect the Morois who can't fight physically because they are fragile.) There could be more endings.

LISSA: Lissa's love interest is Christian Ozera, a Moroi who is considered an outcast of the society. Lissa's story evolves on her helping Rose save Dimitri from inside the school while learning and fighting to become Queen of the Moroi Society when the current Queen dies in a suspicious attack (the attack is pinning rose to be the culprit Lissa also has to help prove rose to be Innocent.) One ending is that during the Strigoi attack, she gets killed since she chose to say to Rose to go and save Dimitri. Another is that of too much spirit magic used (she can revive the dead and use all elements). Another ending is that she proves Rose to be innocent but fails to save Dimitri and becomes Queen but since she was too focused on it, her relationship with Christian falls apart. The happy ending will be that she proves Rose to be Innocent, Dimitri was saved, Rose becomes her bodyguard, and is with Christian while being Queen. Many more endings can happen.

  63. Although this one is more of an album, I think this falls under the music category, nonetheless. For this one I’ve chosen the album Märchen by Sound Horizon, which is has adapted some popular and obscure fairy tales found in Germany. The story focuses on a man named Märchen von Friedhof, who woke up in the bottom of the well with no memories nor any indication of his identity; the only thing he has is his unexplained impulse for revenge. With the urging of his companion, he wanders around and offers vengeance for seven women who had been the victims of each of the seven deadly sins. The player will need to find the root of each of the ladies' grudge and complete their vengeance. Along with this, the player must uncover crucial hints to Märchen's past. The game itself does not necessarily have a health by default (Märchen is already an undead anyway), but this depends on the character you’re controlling at that time.

Although the game is focused heavily on story and narrative, it still has puzzles. I think a good example would be either Alice Mare or The Witch's House. Though unlike some puzzle-based games, the player must complete the puzzles and riddles that are related to the plot and are a crucial element to move the story forward.

  64. I would love to see Transporter (movie) as a game. (I’m not sure if there’s already one)

I’d like to see it as an RPG in which the Player 1 is the Transporter (of course!). The objective is to unfold the story while earning money by doing his job. That money will be used to repair his car and buy upgrades for it, or just buy another one. His job is basically transporting things and stuff under different circumstances.

For the rules, much like the movie, I want to see a technical car game, technical in a sense where weights and gas mattered (Hence, the need to upgrade or change car parts). It will be set within at least 3 cities much like the cities here in the Philippines. That way, it will be more of a challenge and unique too.

The resources will be gas, money, the car/s, time and day, weather, and weaponry (if it is needed for the job). The story doesn’t really have to be the same as the ones in the movies, but he will definitely be caught in the middle of big business and it’s up to the player to choose which side to help. That way, it’ll still be an RPG.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The book itself can give out so much emotion from all the events and even from the characters itself that players would be drawn to actually trying it if it becomes a game.

First of all, I could imagine the game being something similar or almost the same with Assassins Creed. It would be a single player and third person view kind of game. You would have to play Hazel Grace, the main character of the story. Next, the objective of the game would be to finish the story. It would be like The Walking Dead which focuses a lot on realistic dialogue and conversations which would affect the choices of the player. Although I could say that I wanted it to be like Assassins Creed with a specific storyline to be followed all-throughout the game, I really don't. I want to give the story a chance for a happier ending. It would really be like The Walking Dead's ending where the player with end up with a happy or sad (original) ending. It would really depend on the choices and the final decision of the player. Players that want to stick with the original plot can stick with the original plot, while others who want an alternate could try it out.

The entire series gives off a feeling of make believe they they are in the place of Hazel Grace and Augustus Walters, not as cancer patients - but as a wonderful couple who see the best in life despite all their trials. This game's goal is to give as much tears and emotions out of the player, just like the book. This is why I imagine the game to have the same conversations like The Walking Dead and a more interactive interface in the game like The Last of Us or Assassins Creed too.

The story itself has many different events, these events are the levels that the player goes through. It would be similar to The Walking Dead which involves 'episodes' with a certain story the player will encounter. You actually have to finish one 'chapter' or 'episode' to get to the next so that it would implement the story. I would imagine the game allowing the player to free roam around the level after a certain task is finished just so they could get or search for bonus points or credits that will be part of the game.

You can control and interact with the player just like in Assassin's Creed or The Last of Us and experience dialogue like The Walking Dead. The characters themselves are stricken with cancer which gives a certain difficulty level for the player. You cannot run a long distance without taking some time to heal or regenerate the player's stamina. You have to make certain tasks to get new medical equipment or make your player feel better during a certain story or episode.

The boundaries of the game will obviously follow the same ones in the story. It would still completely follow the events of the book so as not to ruin the story aesthetic goal of the game. The conflict on the other hand, would involve sudden attacks (other than the one that follows the story) or side events that would give the player more of a challenge.

The best parts of the game with revolve around the two main characters of the story. The player would have to play Hazel, and develop her relationship with Augustus through their conversations and interactions. This will affect how your ending will turn out and what will happen to your player after finishing the game.

DUBSTEP: The Sound Revolution (name of the game I made up)

Using Dubstep Music I want to create a 1-player, 8-bit, role playing game (kinda like mario), where you basically play as Skrillex fighting sounds that mutated into monsters and with your recorder you can suck them back in and revert them back into just plain old sounds.

The main objective of the game is to reach the end of each level where your mixing board-slash-DJ set can be found, where you have to plug in your gear and the system will mix the sounds that you collected throughout the level and make dubstep music out of them.

    The Rules:
    - You have to convert the Sound Monsters into Regular Sound Files with your gear, otherwise they could attack you and damage you or you can just jump over them, it depends on the type of monster you encounter.

    - When you convert the Sound Monsters into Sound Files there is a specific amount of time for conversion for each specific type of monster. Their conversion time is basically their health points and you are just like sucking the life out of them.

    - There are different types of Sound Monsters and each type of monster will give you a different type of sound:
    - WUB-WUBs = they are the type that just go straight at you but they can't follow you. So, you can either convert/kill them or you can just jump over them and skip them. Time it takes to convert = 2secs.
    - WANK-WANKs = they are the type that acts like an alarm that attracts other monsters and they follow you around, so you really have to convert/kill them. Time it takes to convert = 3secs.
    - BASE DROPs = these are the boss's at the end of each level. The BASE DROP would literally drop from above and they can create sound waves that could damage you and stun you for 3 seconds. Time it takes to convert=10 seconds.

    Boundaries:
    - Once the environment goes out of the screen you cannot go back there anymore.
    - Monsters can appear in front of you and above you but never behind you.
    - You have a full health bar and three lives in the beginning of the game.

    Resources:
    - You have special power-ups that can speed up conversion time, give you extra life, or refill your health bar.
    - You can use your environment to help you dodge monsters.

If you die, a horde of Sound Monsters would pile on you and pick you up and bring you to sound hell where they play nothing but Justin Bieber songs for eternity. Unless you click restart which brings you back to the first level and you have start over again.

If you finish the entire game, a cut scene will play that shows Skrillex waking up but it's not in 8-bit anymore. Skrillex finds himself waking up in his home studio seeing the aftermath of last nights party. Then he says to himself,"Man, what was in that stuff last night?".

Then, End Credits. *queue dubstep music "Wub wub wub wub wub....

  73. Movie: The Hunger Games

I'd like to create a game in which you'll have to choose a character that you will use. This game will be a third person game. There will be a story mode in which you can choose Katniss Everdeen or Peeta Mellark as your main character. As the story goes by, the more person you'll meet and after clearing every chapter of the story, you'll be able to unlock other characters so you could use them. But you can only use those other players when you're in multiplayer mode. In multiplayer mode, you can play with other players or it can be also a player vs AI.

Rules: You can beat your opponents in multiplayer mode if you're able to collect weapons that are scattered inside the arena. There will be a map and there will be icons shown. For example, a small red(player 2) or blue(player 3) moving in the map represents your enemy. While if it is an item or weapon, there will be a small white triangle. You can choose whether you'll put a time limit or not.

Objectives: You have to search for items or weapons so you can win against your opponents. As a player, you have to survive and don't let your life bar reach 0%

Conflict: The conflict in this game is you have to collect weapons or items because if you don't, the players can kill you easily. Well, that is applicable for the multiplayer mode. While on the story mode, the player will encounter a boss at the end of every chapter.

Outcome: The more you clear a chapter, the more you unlock characters and ou can also upgrade your player's skills. You can collect items and keep them along with you or your item storage so you can use it anytime you want.

Outcome: The game will end if Scott gets beaten by the opponent. The player needs to start over again or start from the game that he have saved recently.

Conflict: During the battle, there would be 2-3 minute time limit. And also, there would also XP from Scott's energy. So, if the player would use his ultimate power attacks immediately, it would cause Scott to lose big amount of energy and it would be an advantage for the opponent to have stronger attacks. If this happens, Scott will lose. Also, along the way, Scott needs to meet friends, take some advice from his sister, play guitar, and collect coins. Scott's coins should be higher than his opponent because it would be a big help for him to win every battle.

  76. Chess and Magic the Gathering Gameplay

What if a game developer incorporate chess and Magic the Gathering. The possible gameplay is Chess with an elemental board with hit points and mana points.

In chess, players have to protect the King from being eaten/killed by the enemies. The other set pieces will be the defense and the offense of the player. What if we put certain hit points to those pieces and have different abilities or passives during the games. Players must have enough mana to cast or move their set pieces. It will be more of a strategy game than the usual chess. We then put certain tiles within the board with different elements like immune to attack, will take two times the damage etc.In order to capture enemies, the set pieces must reach 0 life points, lets say a pawn has10 hp with 5 attacks with 2 defense. For it to lose, higher set pieces with higher attacks can kill the pawn but with the original procedure of chess moves (horse with the L shape attack, bishop moves diagonal only, etc)

it maybe unconventional first because of the changes in the rules and gameplay, but come to think of it, it is not impossible to create such a fusion of games that can entertain players and add various strategies on the conventional gameplay of chess.

  79. The movie 21 Jump Street can be made into a game. Where there are 1 or 2 players competing against the system. The game will be an FPS. The objective is to find / catch the drug dealer. But the system will have a lot of distractions like a person saying that he's the drug dealer but it is only confusing the player to protect the "real" drug dealer. You will need to invade / raid a lot of rooms in a school where the transactions are being processed. At the end of the game, there will be different endings, depending on your actions, like the players will die or the players will be addicted to the drug.

  81. Supernatural

Supernatural can be a horror/adventure game because it is about the adventure of two brothers finding the answer on how to solve the apocalypse and fight the demons and fallen angels who are trying to rule the world.

PLAYERS: It can be single-player and dual-player because the main characters are Sam and Dean.

OBJECTIVE: Main goal here is to kill all demons, fallen angels and destructive creatures so the earth will be a safer place for humans. Furthermore, the player should help the good fallen angels on how to go back to heaven and trap all the demon to a secured place.

PROCEDURE: The player/s must accomplish the tasks given to them if they can kill all the demons, fallen angels, and creatures they can survive until the end. There is also a safe place where the player/s can research about the background and weakness of their enemy so they will be able to defeat them. Moreover, there are also designated weapons to kill the angels, demons and creatures and for the most powerful enemy but to be able to have that, the player/s should ask for guidance of certain person and find it.

RULES: The player/s should only use limited weapon and they need to finish a task before going to another task. The player/s should read first the instruction on how to fight the enemy and where to find the weapon to be used to kill them.

RESOURCES: Weapons, ammo, sword, knife, salt, borax and potion.

CONFLICT: The game is story based so the player/s should know first the background of the enemy before killing them just like in the TV Series that I watch and still going. If the player/s doesn't know the background of the enemy it will be hard for him/her to kill it. There are also lots of creatures needed to kill and not only that there are also confused angels needed to be save and killed so don't be deceived by there words and appearance as an angel.

OUTCOME: The game will be over once you finished the story

  82. James Bond

    players- single player game

objective: to shoot and kill the enemiesand pass to another level of the game.

    Procedures:
The player which is "james bond" controls a delta force.
The player's weapons or armors can be customized without pausing the flow of time, you can change firing modes, scopes or adding sound suppressors. The player is also capable of selecting various modes which draw power from the suit's energy. When the suit's energy is depleted, no modes can be used and the player is more vulnerable to damage before the suit recharges. One of four modes can be selected
Armor deflects damage and recharges the suit's energy faster; Strength allows stronger hand-to-hand combat, the ability to throw objects and enemies with deadly force, higher jumps, steadier aiming and reduced weapon recoil;Speed increases running and swimming speed, as well as other forms of motion such as reloading weapons, and Cloak, which renders james bond almost completely invisible and suppresses movement noise. displaying typical data including a tactical map, health, current energy levels, and weapons information. The view is electronic in nature, shown in-game through things such as a booting readout and visual distortion during abnormal operation. A particularly useful utility is the binocular function, which allows the player to zoom in and electronically tag enemies and vehicles from afar, thereby tracking their movement on the tactical display.
The player can engage enemies in a variety of ways; using stealth or aggression, bullets or non-lethal tranquilizers, ranged rifles or short-range weaponry, and so on. Enemy soldiers employ tactical maneuvers and work as squads. If the player has not been detected in the area, enemies will exhibit relaxed behaviour, but if aware of the player they will draw weapons and become combative.

    Restrictions: time limit

Resources: clues and weapons/armor around the field

Outcome: if the player shoot atleast 20 enemies, the player now can be move to another level

Conflict: you're just one player vs 50 enemies per level

    Les Miserables as an Action-RPG

    Singe-player : Jean Valjean

    Objective:
Play the story of Jean Valjean, from slave, fugitive, mayor, father, rebel. An epic of life and death.

    Procedure:
Basically, this will follow the story of Jean Valjean, along the way. The game that I am imagining that would demonstrate the game would be the game series, Fable.
Except you would follow each role the Jean played by chapters.

    Restriction:
The game wouldn't be open-world since you have to follow a specific story.
Although you CAN make choices in the game, the will only be minor and won't affect the final output of each chapter.

    Outcome:
    Ending of Les Miserables

    Conflict:
There would be a lot of conflicts along the way but the main antagonist(Javert) would be the main reason for them.

  88. Inception

    1 - 2 players

The player takes control of himself after being asked by Arthur to go investigate the dreams of a comatose person responsible for Cob's death.

The game will be somewhat similar to the Assassins Creed games where the game is divided, here the game takes place in the dream world where you must go through numerous dream sequences and look for clues along the way, while a co-op partner will take the role of Ariadne, he will try to help the main character travel through dream sequences buy giving him certain items in order to go through the levels. The game will mostly involve puzzles where the 1st and 2nd player must work together. The second part of the game will take place in the real world where you can interact with people from the movie and buy upgrades to help in your missions.

The restrictions are that the player must not leave the dream sequences in order to continue, like if a player dies in the dream he will get sent back to the real world. Except the comatose person you are using only has a limited number of visits, failing to do so will fail the game.

The conflict will take place in both the real and the dream world. The real world will involve primarily of 3rd person shooter mechanics and must protect your labs from opponents while the dream world will have puzzles, platformers, and a few shooting mechanic.
